The beginning of Canto XL includes the lines ³De banchis cambi tenendi  /
Venice 1361, / '62..shelved for a couple of centuries...² (197).  Terrell
says that a source for this has not been found.  Is there anyone online (I
don't have access to _The Barb of Time_ and related volumes at the moment)
who has some idea what Pound is referring to here, or further grounding in
Pound's assessment of Venetian banking?
