Dear Brennan,
        Canto I, while not quoting _The Seafarer_, translates Andreas Divus'
Latin into a pastiche of the diction and rhythm of the Anglo-Saxon poem's
"Ur-English" (as Kenner nicely puts it).

Gang,

I'm thinking about doing a paper on Pound's Seafarer translation for one of
my graduate courses at Temple. Where can I read more about Pound's thoughts
on Anglo Saxon literature and the act of translation in general? Also, do
lines from the Seafarer appear anywhere in the Cantos?
