Yes, I think the DonJuan-Cantos parallel is very promising. Both poems
have an impromptu, spontaneous premise,both evoked strenuous objections
from the establishment, and both were written by men with towering,
independent egos. Note, though, that Pound did not recommend Byron as a
model.
