At times I have gone out and put together posts of various quotes from
different recaps, today is the Frozen Four edition with some fun
quotes:

"I can't believe I'm talking about college hockey right now, but it is
OK because my wife is asking." -- ME-HOCKEY list member William
calling after his HEALTHY BABY BOY was born just before 11pm last
night. Congrats to William and his wife and I was happy to also be the
one to tell him that Maine was going to the FROZEN FOUR. "Wow, Maine
is going to the Frozen Four on the same day my son was born," he said.
(DT COMMENT: I don't think he could even process the fact UNH had lost
too. Just too much good news in one moment!)
---

"It's night and day," said defenseman Bret Tyler. "I think we're all in
a bit of shock. It's an honor to be able to move on."

(DT COMMENT: I love stuff like this.. "honor to be able to move on".
Shows respect and also does not take anything for granted)

---

"This one makes it so special because we were so close to being out,"
said Leveille. "It's my last year.
"I want to get there and win it all. I want the hardware. It's an
unbelievable feeling."

(DT COMMENT: Is the "hardware" reference a shot at UNH? Boston Globe
ran a story on Friday about how one of the UNH players was going to
come up to Maine and show us his hardware so "University of No
Hardware" would go away... ooops.)

---

"I think UMass has made us a better team. They beat us four times and
really brought out a lot of our weaknesses," said Maine Coach Tim
Whitehead.
"They really made us better, and I think that's the big reason we were
able to rise up this weekend and play as we did."

(DT TRANSLATION: Congratulations on your four wins in a row. Catch us
on ESPN2 April 5.)

---

"We're not just going there for the scenery," said Bishop. "We're going
there to try and win the national championship."

(DT: AMEN, brother.)

---

"I think their experience was a factor," said UMass coach Don Cahoon.
"They played like a team that has been in this position many times
before, the way they came out of the gate."

---

"I was almost pain-free," said Bishop. "I felt good. Now I have another
two weeks (to rest)."

---

"After losing four straight games to whatever team you're going to
start questioning things, and if you get a second chance you're going
to make sure you do as good as you can with it," said UMass defenseman
Mike Kostka.

(DT: Was UMass overconfident?)
