Twice now I have had to help a newcomer (actually they were both 
previous subscribers) subscribe to the list. Each time, there was no 
clear path to be followed. The instructions were out of context and 
incomplete. The first person got in quite by accident. I'm waiting to 
hear if the second person made it.

Are any of you subscribers in contact with whatever people run this 
list? I bet there are people who have pain given up trying to subscribe.
