Oh no, now I'm in trouble ....

I like the (banned) "UMO"! Ever hear a cheer ..

    "T-H-E-U-N-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y-O-F-M-A-I-N-E"?! (spell it out)

Me neither. Most of Maine has a cold most of the winter, so

    "M-A-I-N-E ... Gooooooo-Blue!"

After 2 or three of these and I'm blue in the face before I get to "blue"!

Much simpler is

    U-M-O !

Wasn't that nice? And you've probably got enough breath left for another

    U-M-O ... U-M-O !

Now you've got me going! ;-)

If we can call The United States of America "USA", why can't we call
Maine "UMO"?

And now that Nonni's got me going, it's "Maine", not "UMaine". What? You
can't tell the difference between the State and the University? ;-)

Thanks for letting me rant. Point of reference: when I was getting to
know Maine, we had the North and South Apartments (burr), an apple
orchard and a working farm on campus.

cheers, wayne Old Town Landing
