This from UMaine Today:

° UMaine hockey player Doug Janik has signed a professional contract
with the Buffalo Sabres.  Janik, who would have been a senior and a
captain in the upcoming season, was drafted in the second round by
Buffalo in 1999.  A brief Associated Press story appears in today's BDN
sports section.
