Farmington Public Library leased a printer/scanner/copier last year and the
response from patrons has been tremendous. People LOVE being able to email
documents.

We worked with A-Copi from Gardiner http://www.a-copi.com/ . I was looking
for a company that would be responsive to our needs and A-Copi was
recommended by another library. We've been very happy with the service. The
gentleman that handled our lease stops by when he is in town and checks up
on us. :)

Subject: [MELIBS-L] Leasing a printer/copier

Hello-

Thomaston Public Library is considering leasing a
printer/copier/scanner/fax. With the help of a techie volunteer/consultant,
we have done a lot of homework, explored all the
cost/quality/quantity/feature possibilities with a number of vendors, and
are now about to decide.

Before we do though, I thought I'd throw the idea of printer/scanner/copier
leasing out there in case someone knows about some incredibly wonderful
program or vendor that we are unaware of.

Our 3-year lease cost will be about $100 per month for a large volume, with
full service support -- and we will need to buy paper only, no printer
cartridges.

Thanks!
Ann Harris
