I'm always hesitant to do this but I'll take off my librarian cap for a
moment and mention that I have two new picture books coming out from
Charlesbridge in May, both with Maine themes, and am currently booking
summer events!

The first is a story in rhyme *I Am Made of Mountains: An Ode to National
Parks -- The Landscapes of Us*, which Kirkus Reviews calls "An enticing
look at our national parks—rhapsodic but with attention to their checkered
history."

The second is *The Lobster Lady* (illustrated by Maine illustrator Jamie
Hogan!) about Rockland's now renowned 102-year-old Virginia Oliver. Kirkus
praises the story as "A cleverly told, engaging portrayal of an indomitable
woman."

Both books also have a Maine editor (who also has her debut picture book
coming out in May called *Sometimes Shy*), Julie Bliven, and an art
director, Kristen Nobles, who also has a camp in Maine. So a lot of Maine
love went into these books!

I love doing library events, and have programs for children, teens, and/or
adults. Thank you for your consideration.

Best wishes,
Alex
