If you are interested I have a broad collection strength analysis document that I created using numbers from the Maine Shared Collections Strategy project.
Obviously as it is an attachment I can't send it to melibs but if you are interested let me know and I will email a copy to you.

Subject: [MELIBS-L] Non-fiction Book displays
Would you be interested in having a book display on a primarily non-fiction topic like The Civil War, biographies of writers, world religions, the Bill of Rights?
Have you hesitated because your non-fiction collection is not strong enough in the area to support a display?
The State Library can help. One of the things that sets our circulating library apart from most public libraries is that we are by choice a non-fiction library. Since we don't have to buy the latest popular mystery or romance we can buy the best of current non-fiction. Since we have been doing this for decades our collection has surprising depth in a large number of areas.
If you are interested in teaming with us to present a display please contact us. http://www.maine.gov/msl/services/ask.htm we would be happy to help.
