American Mathematics Competition

All interested high school students are invited to participate in the
American Mathematics Competition (AMC) at 2:00 on February 7th at Colby. 

The AMC is the oldest and most prestigious nationwide mathematics
competition in the United States. It started in 1950 and it is the exclusive
pathway for a student to advance to the USA Mathematical Olympiad. In
2010-2011 2,130 Maine students participated in AMC 10 and AMC 12. One
student from Cape Elizabeth was selected to participate in the U.S. Math
Olympiad. 

Participation is free, but interested students need to register by
contacting Eve Szillery (at [log in to unmask] or at 207 356
0207).
