According to the Bangor Daily News, defenseman Peter Metcalf, 6-1 190
lbs from Pembroke Mass. has verbally committed to Maine.  Metcalf is a
senior at Cushing Academy where he has gone 100-9-2 in his career (now
playing his fourth season).  This article says that it was Maine's 12-5
win over BC the second night, Shawn Walsh's ability to motivate players
and the fact he'll get lots of ice time that helped him make his
decision.  He also considered Harvard, Cornell, Providence, RPI and
UMass-Lowell.
