I think personally that the UMO dosen't give enough seperation between Orono
and the other campuses in the system. Orono is clearly the flagship
university and should be treated as such, no offense to Presque Isle or
Machias but they will simply never be or mean to the state what Umaine does.
The University of Michigan has more then one campus but you'd never ever
hear anyone refer to it as U of M Ann Arbor. I like UMaine just cause it's
what i'm familiar with and what I think the distinction is important.
