I'll suggest San Jose, St. Louis or Miami....and I'd go to
>any of
>them.
I was talking to one of the NCAA reps (behind section 101 in case you missed
one of the seemingly 10,000 promos for where you could register to win
tickets for next years frozen four) and he said they are looking at Tampa
(woohoo, no air fare for me!!) :)
couple of other idle observations..
* Next year, maybe make more then 4 NCAA commercials if you plan on
brainwashing us with them throughout the game next year, as one of my
friends pointed out, they were in black and white and starred college
athletes so not like they cost anything to make.
* Toronto is the cleanest city Ive ever been in, I saw no litter anywhere.
We could have practically eaten off the florr of the parking garage. The
glass floor on the CN tower was an interesting experience as well. So how
much are the hortel room inside the skydome??
* I had heard from the Lightning play by play guy that the Arena in Buffalo
was the coldest in the league, sorry, St Pete Times forum still has it beat.
* I too will be gladly donating to the Vanek to San Jose Sharks fund, since
this will only benefit the rest of the teams in college hockey, I'm assuming
its tax deductable.. :)
* Niagara Falls was also impressive, on way there, thinking..ok we are
paying to see water go over rocks, The $6 parking (Canadian side) was worth
it.
* Canadian border guards are far more friendly the US border guards.
* Cornell outplayed UNH in game 1, had they won, I think it would have been
a far more interesting final with a "home team" atmosphere and 2 very
similar styles. Going into the final I expected Minnesota would win by 2-3
goals but when it was tied after 2, started thinking Ayers may steal one, he
WAS UNH this entire tournament (he can also feel free to turn pro).

See you at next years Everblades tourney!!! This year Cornell, Ohio State,
Maine, and Notre Dame. Unlike last year where it was an NCAA tourney
preview, this year looks more like 4 teams in different stages of rebuilding
mode.

Steve
