THE CURSE IS OVER!!!! After one tie and five losses, I finally got to see
them win last Friday.

Just to add to some of Dan's comments --

The outpouring of Maine fans at Friday night's games just reinforces my
belief that we have the best fans in college hockey. It was truly a "dark
and stormy night", which made for unpleasant driving conditions. I think
that more than half the crowd were Maine fans. It seemed that two out of
every three people who walked into the lobby (while we were waiting for
friends to arrive) was wearing something with a Maine logo. I would like
to add my thanks to the anonymous gentleman who gave us four of his
tickets. Another person who joined us at the game was also given a ticket.

I like to think that the team appreciates the fan support at road games.
We had a great time cheering in a (more than) half empty rink. Kudos to
Dan who was very vocal in expressing his concern over some of the
officials' calls or lack thereof (I'm sure he helped Coach Walsh rest his
vocal cords). I would also like to thank those fans who helped me finish
the "M-A-I-N-E GOOOO BLUE" cheer at the end of the third period. Finally,
a special thanks to the UMASS Lowell fans sitting around us for being such
good sports.

Now it's on to Orono for Saturday night's game against Merrimack. I can
hardly wait.
