Third period, no scoring. St. Lawrence 1, Maine 0.

The Saints scored early in the first period on a shot tipped twice in
front of Jimmy Howard. Then goalie Mike McKenna made it stand up.

Both teams played well. TV commentators on Channel 5 said it was
probably Howard's best game. Damon had a chance to tie with one side of
the net wide open but the puck got to him on a deflection too soon for
him to get ready in time and it slid off the heel of his stick.

As an aside, UNH leads at Michigan 3-2 after 2 on CSTV. And the spell
check suggests UGH for UNH.
