Not sure if this has been posted, but Hamilton and Clark have been
suspended
ORONO, Maine (AP) -- Two University off Maine hockey players were
suspended from the team Wednesday after being charged with assault and
aggravated criminal mischief for allegedly beating another student at his
apartment in Orono.
Michael Hamilton and Wesley Clark were suspended indefinitely for
violations of the Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, Interim Athletic
Director Blake James announced.
Hamilton and Clark, who are both 22 years old, were charged following a
fight Sunday night that apparently involved a dispute over Hamilton's
ex-girlfriend. The victim received stitches over his left eye.
Hamilton, a junior, and Clark, a sophomore, are both forwards. Hamilton
was sidelined after suffering a knee injury 10 days ago. Clark broke his
leg during the off-season and has been in rehabilitation.
Hamilton, of Victoria, British Columbia, and Clark, of Oakville, Ontario,
are scheduled to appear Dec. 23 in Bangor District Court.
