Just started watching the "replay" of the 2-1 win and Shawn says to open up
the third period:

"it reminds me of Anaheim"

Ain't that the truth, coach, from someone else who was there (then and
tonight)...

More from the memory bank from this evening:

I think Matt was bigger tonight than Alfie was at any time during the two
Cal. games last year. He certainly has come into his own. You win these
things from the crease out, and you need, as coach says, "puck luck".
Such was the case tonight.

Those who criticized Robert Ek earlier this season surely must admit the
man has elevated his level of play this past month or so. He was there for
every 5-3 situation and helped tremendously otherwise on the PK.

And the same for those who slammed Barrett for not taking a leadership
role. He was EVERYWHERE tonight. He was more creative with the puck than
at any other time I have seen this year.

Maine MUST score the first goal in every game for the remainder of this
post-season.

Fitzy tried tonight to hand it to BC in the first two frames. How many
double penalties against Maine for 5 on 3 were really necessary ?

BC "Superfan" T-shirts - There were so many people wearing them at the
Fleece, it got me to thinking = what's their criteria for being considered
"super" ... a pulse ? A ten-spot ?

Just thinking: Could we do a "wear blue" kind of thing for the remaining
games of the post-season ?

What is the background of the FleeceCenter scoreboard operator ? BC
graduate, perhaps ? It took until just as the puck dropped after our
second goal for it to be posted on the various scoreboards at the rink.
It's not as if the goal had been under review on replay... Maine should
have refused taking the draw until the actual score was posted.

I still prefer listening to Bob Norton with TV commentary.

And, I bought Maine to win it all this year at 6-1 !!!

We are passing on Albany...but see you all in Providence (heh).
