Lindsay and I were there, and saw the entire thing.
 
Doubtless BC players thought Heisten ran Clemmensen.  Therefore, the
roughhousing while Heisten removed himself from the net.  Referee Benedetto
had skated nearly two-thirds the way from the net over to the officials
crease, with Heisten trailing behind, when he whacked the "T".  Making the
call that late usually happens when some words are uttered.
 
Shawn was unusually calm, most notably after it was explained to him by one
of Maine assistant captains (can't recall which one was in the referee
conference).  I think Shawn was more stunned by the result than anything
else.  Shawn pulled enough nutties the night before to last three games.
