Summary: 
	A extended maintenance window will be used as upgrades to the MaineREN optical network take place.

Sites solely serviced over MaineREN paths will experience outages as the nodes are upgraded in turn.  Secondary paths will help retain connectivity for some.

Sites suffering complete outages at some point are expected to be: 
Augusta campus
Colby College
Bowdoin College
Bates College
College of the Atlantic
MDIBL
RSU24
Town of Ellsworth
RSU18
AOS91
Town of BarHarbor 
MPBN-Lewiston
MPBN-Portland

A subsequent maintenance event will take place on the following night (Jan4 12am-5am) upgrading additional sites that will diminish Internet connectivity as well as access to Internet2.
