Convey Your Library's Value So People Listen
Speaker: Lauren Burnett

To forge successful public relationships it is imperative to "talk their
language', to come from their perspective and to articulate what you
offer in terms of "what's in it for them". Whether you are talking one
on one or with groups, organize and support your points in engaging ways
as you learn how to appeal to your audience/customer's "head" and
"heart". Increase your persuasiveness by learning how to "paint
pictures" that stick and build conversations of influence.
* Explore the value of reaching out to build community relationships
* Craft a marketable message of your library value using a 5 Step
Process.
* Develop a 60 second conversation that sells your worth
* Turn library services into assets your audience will appreciate
This year the event will take place at the Senator Inn and Spa in
Augusta.
