The Festival of Lights in downtown Rockland is happening Thanksgiving weekend. The organizers have a few volunteer opportunities for 3 students on Friday and 3 more students on Saturday. Both are in the early evening, very brief and may include children.
On Friday night, November 27th, from 5:30 - 6:30, 3 university students are needed to serve hot chocolate during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
On Saturday night, November 28th, from 5:15 - 6:15, 3 university student volunteers are needed to assist with the start of the downtown parade.
I am really pleased that the downtown merchants have reached out to us for help. If you wish to be a volunteer, please contact me asap.
Thanks - Deb
