Subject: FW: Teen video contest to promote health information careeers

Please share this poster with school librarians in your region. Have them
post it in their libraries or share with their health and science teachers
or guidance counselors.

It is a unique opportunity to create a video about the important work that
medical librarians do and in the process possibly win some scholarship funds
too!

Thanks in advance for spreading the word.

Michelle

Subject: Teen video contest to promote health information careeers

Hi,

I have attached the poster for a contest running through the end of May to
raise awareness at the high school level for the pipeline to medical
librarianship and related health information careers. This is part of the
IMLS project High School to Health Sciences Librarianship and Informatics
(www.bioinfo-career.org) that I coordinate among 7 academic health sciences
libraries.

If you have teens in your family or have a good relationship with a high
school librarian, guidance counselor, or health teacher, please pass this on
in paper or electronically. There are three cash scholarship prizes
described. The contest details are also at
http://www.bioinfo-career.org/contest . These links would be useful to
educate students or teachers or guidance counselors about the topic:

Thanks,

Charlie
