I did not see anything dumb on that play by the Maine
players.  That was a fantastic rush by the BU forwards
and the lightning quick pass and shot to the 5 hole
was something out of the Montgomery/Kariya playbook.

For what it;s worth, Simon and Dimmen played that one
just like they did the rest of the game and the last
couple months.  Coach does not like it when Maine
defenders tackle the opposition out front because he
does not like penalties.  This was a situation where
taking the penalty would have been warranted, but the
D did not "take their men".  Not their fault, I say.

earlier in the game Bellamy had a strong rush to the
net and he was taken down just before skating into the
crease.  Usually that is a smart play by the D, it
avoids a goal.  I will not get into why that was an
amazingly smart play by BU, but that is what general
hockey wisdom dictates the defensemen do,   Hook,
hold, tackle,trip or anything you can, so that the guy
out front cannot get a shot off.

This cautious style has taken Tim's team to the frozen
4 over and over and over.  I do not think he is going
to change now.  Further, it is going to be real tough
to convince him that this is a stupid style.
