In Friday's UNH-Lowell game, Chief's goaltender Dwayne Roloson had to leave the
game in the 2nd period (courtesy of a Kevin Thomson high-stick) for about four
minutes. His replacement was #33, last name Hagan, first name unknown. The
Lowell roster lists a defenseman as #33, so it wasn't a big help. Does anyone
out there know anything about him?
The reason I'm interested is because this guy had to be the shortest goaltender
I have *ever* seen in Division 1 hockey. Using the crossbar as a guide, I
estimate that he was 5' 3" at best, with skates on. When he bent over even
slightly, he could easily slide back into the goal without hitting his head :-)
Oh, and in case anyone's interested, he made one save -- Lowell was on the
powerplay for his entire stay in the net. The "shot" was from behind the UNH
blueline, and it almost went in!
