I have some very sad news to report from Ann Arbor.....
Brian Fishman, the marketing and communications director for the USA
Hockey National Team Development Program, was found dead in his Ann Arbor
apartment Thursday afternoon.
The Ann Arbor Police Department believes he died of carbon monoxide
poisoning and are ruling his death accidental. Fishman, 29, had just
returned to Ann Arbor on Wednesday afternoon after handling media
relations duties for Team USA at the World Junior Championship in
Winnipeg.
The police believe that an object was blocking proper air flow in and out
of his apartment, causing the poisonous fumes to back up.
Prior to going over to USA Hockey last summer, Fishman worked for three
years as the media relations director for the University of Michigan
hockey program.
No information on services is known at this time.
