I think I tried to get to that in a previous post, but Maine needs to take
3 of 4 to clinch home ice. They can clinch it with just a win this
weekend, but would need Lowell to at least get a tie. If UVM takes 3
points, it finishes with 31 points. If Maine gets at least 1 win, it will
finish with at least 31 points. Maine wins tiebreaker with UVM on
head-to-head play, and it would win a possible tiebreaker with UMass, as
well.
Now, if Maine takes 3 of 4 points this weekend, it is irrelevant what UVM
does because Maine would finish with 32 points, UMass would finish with 30
and UVM, in a sweep over Lowell, would finish with 32 points. Maine,
again, would win tiebreaker with UVM.
