I wonder if the NCAA is trying using the forces of the marketplace to drive 
NoDak into compliance?  In other words, if you don't change your nickname, 
we won't play you in your minor sports.   Or, if you can't win legally, beat 
'em with economics!

Which leads to the RPI solution.  Leave the hockey team as the Fighting 
Sioux (everyone still wants to play them) and call the rest of the school 
the Fighting Dakotas.  I think Dakotas (Dakotans?) is a darn sight better 
than Red Hawks.  Right, Ralph?
