Kennebec Land Trust Lyceum
The Flora of Maine

Lessons in Ecology, Botany and History
Ladd Recreation Center  7:00 - 8:30 pm


The Kennebec Land Trust, the Wayne Area Garden Club
and the Ladd Recreation Center are co-sponsoring a
community lecture series on the Flora of Maine.  These
programs will be held at the Ladd Center on the Gott
Road in Wayne during March and April, 2004. *  Please
join us for these excellent presentations and the
opportunity to meet your friends and neighbors in the
region.  Members and Directors of the sponsoring
organizations will be attending the series and there
will be time to visit over refreshments after each
program.  This community program is supported by
Robert, Gloria and Lincoln Ladd.



March 11th   Introduction to Maine's Flora: an
Ecological and Geographical Perspective

Spring and Summer Botany Walks  see June KLT
newsletter for more details.

This spring the KLT will offer two botany walks in
June and July.  Participants on each of the field
trips will start a species list for each KLT property.
 This information will contribute important data to
the KLT’s property inventories.

·       June 12: A spring wildflower walk on the KLT
Reynolds property on Goff Brook in Sidney with
Mike Auger, Consulting Ecologist and Board Member,
Androscoggin Land Trust
·       July 31:  A botanical and historical field
walk to the KLT Besse Historical Conservation Area and
Homestead in Wayne with Theresa Kerchner, KLT
Education and Stewardship Coordinator
