I'd certainly add football to the "move on" list (Bicknell, Teevens and
Ferentz), but the common denominator for those who stay for an extended
period (e.g. Jack Cosgrove currently) is usually some deep UMaine roots.

Perhaps upon hiring, each new UMaine coach should be duct taped to a chair
and made to view Stephen King's commencement address from this year.  Read

Caught it on C-SPAN the other day and it was a joy to hear and see (but why
didn't they take down the goal judge booth behind him at the Alfond ? --
there's some hockey content for you)
