The wireless issue that occured in Orono earlier this week does
appear to be a driver (centrino wireless) related. In this particular
case the issue was catastrophic for many clients, so the APs were
retrograded. The exact trigger was not found but clients with
updated drivers do not see the issue (and why initial testing of the
upgrade failed to show the problem).

Wireless users should be advised in some manner to make sure
their NIC driver is current, especially those with centrino based NICs
as there appear to be a few past issues of this chipset causing XP
to blue screen.

All UMS APs are now scheduled to be upgraded on May 22 (after
finals).
