ESPNU, Adelphia And Time Warner To Broadcast NCAA Hockey
Black Bears can be seen on local cable providers in Maine

March 22, 2005

ORONO, Maine - The Maine men's ice hockey NCAA Tournament game against
the University of Minnesota on Saturday, March 26 at 2:30 pm will be
broadcast nationally on ESPNU, which can be seen on DirecTV channel
609. In addition, Adelphia cable systems will broadcast the game on
channel 12 in the Bangor area and channel 9 in the Augusta area. Time
Warner cable systems will carry the game on channel 22 in Cumberland
and York counties and channel 23 in Aroostook county.

The Black Bears can also be heard on WZON (620 AM) in Bangor, WEGP
(1390 AM) in Presque Isle-Caribou and WLOB (1310 AM and 96.3 FM) in
Portland. Dan Hannigan will call the action and Larry Mahoney will
provide color commentary.

Maine, 20-12-7 overall, have now reached the NCAA Tournament for seven
straight seasons, the second longest active streak to Michigan with 14
straight appearances. This will be the Black Bears 15th appearance in
the NCAA Tournament, winning championships in 1993 and 1999. Maine and
Minnesota last meet on October 10, 2003, a 4-0 win by the Black Bears.
The last meeting in the NCAA Tournament came in the 2002 Championship
game, won by the Golden Gophers 4-3 in overtime.

All University of Maine hockey fans are invited to enjoy the Men's Ice
Hockey game this Saturday, March 26, 2005 live at The Sports Arena for
the official watch party of Maine vs. Minnesota. The watch party will
feature a live broadcast of the game at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. The Sports Arena is located at 1620 Outer Hammond Street in

Black Bear fans in Portland can stop by Rivalries, 10 Cotton Street in

viewing parties of the NCAA Tournament.
