When I chatted with the WABI-TV program director last season, it was
obvious that he wasn't going to start at a lower price or give a free
game, but it is easier to lower a price to get more viewers than raise
one to try to increase revenue. It's also wise to get any kinks worked
out before offering the freebie ... and it appears this is just what
WABI-TV has done.

I also suggested, being in the WABI-TV viewing area, that his archives
viewing policy was too costly and too restrictive. For example, about
the only reason I'd want the archives would be to watch Leveille's hat
trick about 14 times. There must be some potential value in the
archives, because he went into a rant about protecting assets.

The archived games (or highlights, if that were done) may be an asset,
but IMHO would be worth about what I pay to watch his evening newscast
later on the PC (my time, no money).

cheers, wayne
