I believe you are wrong. I have seen the cup numerous times and seem to
remember there being players, coaches and owners on it. There is even at
least one name that has been struck out because it didn't belong there.

The Devils did not win the Cup. I see the duffer has not changed much
since the days that I was in Orono. And while this is wonderful that
Coach Tortorella has won the Cup, to the best of my knowledge only the
players names go on Lord Stanley, so we are still looking for the first
Maine Black Bear to get his name on it!
