In Noel Stock's biography of Pound, it is written as follows,
he also contributed to a communist-inspired magazine called Front
published in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the December issue he published
his 'Credo'
So, it seems it is an original contribution.
Credo was reprinted in Selected Prose.

Subject: Pound's "Credo" in FRONT 1930 #1
Dear colleagues,
The journal FRONT, no 1, 1930 (The Hague) published Pound's "Credo"
(p.11), containing the paragraph:
Having a strong disbelief in abstract and general statement as a means of
conveying one's thought to others I have for a number of years answered
such questions [i.e., about his belief] by telling the enquirer to read
Confucius and Ovid. This can do no harm to the intelligent and the
unintelligent may be damned.
My question is: was this an original contribution to FRONT or did it
appear earlier somewhere?
I will be grateful for any information concerning Pound's "Credo" in
FRONT.
Sincerely,
Lars Kleberg
