The idea that a civil rights lawsuit against the University of Maine is "good
news" for women's hockey or anything else is twisted logic. Women's hockey
has already received a favorable recommendation from the athletic advisory
board and President Hutchinson, neither of whom had to be threatened by a
lawsuit. The only beneficiaries of a lawsuit would be the attorneys who file
it. And guess who pays.... all of the rest of us.
