MAINE HOCKEY SELECTION SHOW AND REGIONAL SITE TICKET INFORMATION

ORONO, Maine (3/18/04) - The official selection show for the 2004 NCAA Men's
Ice Hockey Tournament will be held Sunday, March 21st at 2:30 p.m. live on
ESPN2. By advancing to the Hockey East Semifinals at the Fleet Center this
weekend it appears the Black Bears have positioned themselves for a sixth
consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and all fans are invited to join the team
and coaching staff at the Dexter Lounge of Alfond Arena to find out where
the Bears are headed and who they are matched up against in the Tournament.

Maine is 28-7-3 overall and 17-5-2 in Hockey East heading into the Hockey
East Semifinal match-up with Boston University at the Fleet Center in
Boston, MA on Friday, March 19th. Should Maine win they will face the winner
of New Hampshire and UMass on Saturday, March 20th at 7 p.m. in the
Championship game of the Hockey East Tournament.

If the Black Bears are selected to travel to the Verizon Center in
Manchester, New Hampshire for the Northeast Regional, the University of
Maine will not have tickets available for sale to the public. A limited
number of student tickets will go on sale at the Black Bear Ticket Office at
Alfond Arena on a first-come, first-serve basis on Monday, March 22nd
beginning at 8:30 a.m. All students with a valid Maine Card may purchase one
all session pass for $62, good for all three games at the Northeast Regional
site.

If Maine is selected to travel to the Pepsi Arena in Albany, NY for the East
Regional, tickets will be available through the Black Bear ticket office.
Fans can call or stop by now to pre-order tickets with a major credit card
(VISA or MasterCard). Students will once again be able to purchase their
all-session passes for $64 at the Black Bear Ticket Office on Monday, March
22nd beginning at 8:30 a.m. Both a Friends trip and a student bus trip are
scheduled if Maine is selected to travel to the East Regional in Albany. For
more information on either bus or to be placed on the waiting list for the
trip please call (207) 581-4849 or email [log in to unmask]

The two other potential locations for the first and second round games of
the 2004 NCAA Hockey Tournament are Grand Rapids, MI or Colorado Springs,
CO. In the event the University of Maine is selected to travel to these
sites we will post all the necessary travel and ticket information online at
goblackbears.com to assist Maine fans in planning accordingly.
