Clair, you are right re: Grant's evaluation of the WHOLE player including his home life. I remember Grant describing his visit to a player's home. Until this visit, Grant was convinced the kid would be great for the Maine program; he had all the tools. Then came the home visit where Grant witnessed outright disrespect for his parents - Grant left knowing that Maine would no longer pursue him.
