I saw this in the Globe today:

Maine coach Shawn Walsh has watched Gionta score 13 goals and notch six
assists against his teams the past four seasons. ''Unreal,'' said Walsh.
''It has to be a first. It would be our luck to finish in eighth place and
have to play BC again in the playoffs.''

A couple points..

- Walsh looks like he believes (as do I) that BC has the regular season
title all but wrapped up.

- What about that last part? Is this a sign of frustration, or lack of
confidence? Or is it just a comment, no more meaning to it? Hockey East
is close, Maine could finish anywhere from 3-9 still. But, realistically,
is there really a chance Maine would finish 8th?
