We can confirm your attendance - Fox showed many more crowd shots than Ch. 68
did the night before - and we saw you Sunday !!!

I was really impressed with the even-handed announcing on both nights TV
broadcasts.

Not so when I listened to the BU announcers on Sunday night, while watching
the
play on TV with the sound down. Oh, the usual "Maine clutches and grabs"
bull,
seemingly straight from the Maine-bashers on USCHO. And their whining
about the
"age" of Maine players, especially over Brendan. Did they say the same
bull when he
played for them ? The worst part is that a station in Rumford
re-broadcasts that crap
all over southern Maine and you can't get nearly a good signal for the
state's own school.

Maine will really need a strong, experienced fourth line when the
tournament comes along.
Remember it was the fourth line who won the Championship last year.

>For those of you >who have voiced your concerns about our hockey team on
>the USCHO board I
>think you are worrying needlessly

Geez, posters should voice their concerns on this list first. Showing any
dissention in the Maine ranks on USCHO is like waving a red flag in front
of a bull. We on this list see the Maine games more frequently and can
better comment on their strengths and weaknesses than the many ill-informed
rabble on USCHO.

Back to my point above, if you heard about Maine exclusively from some of
the opponents' Internet broadcasts, you'd think we send out the Charlestown
Chiefs in blue and white each game...

My take on an obvious team weakness is a lack of focus. Just like my
Broons, they have a tendency to play on their heels for as much as full
periods at a time. It happened at Northeastern
and happened Saturday night.

Also, they seem to play much better when scoring the first goal.

Anyone tally what Maine's record is when they score the first goal ?

BTW, when will Maine start producing a TV ad for Heisten for Hobey ?

Go blue....
