Spiros Polemis wrote of Martin Kariya:

"He played one shift on the first BU game. He sat in the stands with
another player (Turgeon, Clark?) during the second game."

I would strongly object to this statement. Martin was not dressed and DID
NOT play in either game. I was in attendance both nights and had a chance
to ask Eric Turgeon (Sunday night) if he knew why Martin had not dressed.
He simply stated it was coaches decision.

I also taped the game on Sunday night and upon watching the tape on Monday
heard Cap Raeder's comment about the Flu, that could clearly be the case.
It could also be that BU generally plays a physical game on a smaller ice
surface than alot of other HE rinks and Shawn felt he needed to go with
some bigger bodies. I will say that I was very impressed by the play of
the fourth line both nights Shaneberger-Clauson-Schutte were really
hammering BU in the corners and if there was any line that deserved to
score a goal this weekend it was that one!

I continue to be very impressed with their work ethic. For those of you
who have voiced your concerns about our hockey team on the USCHO board I
think you are worrying needlessly, and I've yet to see them win a game this
year (0-3-2)! I may have to give up my tickets to the Whitt and Providence
if this keeps up!
