Translit will be sponsoring a panel in 2000 at the Midwest Modern Language
Association in November, 2000, in Kansas City.
A brief call for papers follows:
TRANSLIT. "Translating" History, or Thinking Across the Past. Papers should
examine how changing attitudes toward history or literature may in fact be
rooted in
cognitive differences in perception.
Marianne Erickson, Cultural and Cognitive Studies, International Univ.,
Campus 1, 76646 Bruchsal, Germany
For details about the conference and to see additional calls for papers,

Feel free to contact me with questions, as the call for papers is indeed
quite brief (at the MMLA's request, of course)!
