ORONO, Maine - University of Maine men's ice hockey forward Greg Moore was
named to the American Hockey Coaches Association RBK All-America First Team
and forward Michel Léveillé was named to the American Hockey Coaches
Association RBK All-America Second Team as announced on Friday night in
Milwaukee. Moore is the seventeenth Black Bear to earn first team honors and
the first since 1999.
Moore, a senior from Lisbon, Maine, played in all 42 games for the Black
Bears this season as captain. A Hobey Baker Finalist, he led the team with
28 goals and 45 points. He was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star and
was runner-up for Best Defensive Forward. Moore was also named to the New
England Hockey Writers All-Star Team. He ranks in the top ten in the nation
in goals (28), goals per game (0.68), and power play goals (12).
Léveillé, a junior from Levis, Quebec, played in 37 games for the Black
Bears as an assistant captain. He has sixteen goals and 24 assists on the
season for 40 points, including a goal against Wisconsin in the Frozen Four.
Léveillé was fourth in Hockey East with 1.08 points per game. He was named
to the Hockey East All-Star Second Team and also named to the NCAA East
Regional All-Tournament Team. Following the 2003-04 season, he was named
Hockey East Rookie of the Year.
Maine finished the season with a 28-12-2 overall record, falling in the NCAA
Frozen Four to Wisconsin. For more information on University of Maine
