A couple of comments:
 
Seems like the timing rules are for the benefit of TV/radio, and not for
the sake of the game on the ice.  Certainly helps the producers of the
shows to know how much time goes before certain activities happen.  How
about three more minutes between periods.  Could it have been MONEY talking
??  Naaaaaaaaaaah.
 
Hilton Head, SC -- your NC$$ fines and sanctions hard at work.  My
