I hope everyone had a good holiday. As many of you know, this time of
year is when college hockey sees a lot of non-conference and tournament
games, here are some of the results from this weekend leading into
tonight..

Michigan State won the Great Lakes Invitational with a 3-1 victory over
#3 Michigan in the championship game, but Michigan was not the only top
team to fall. #2 Colorado College lost a 5-3 to #7 Boston College. CC
will play Lake Superior in the consolation of the Denver Cup, while BC
and Denver will meet up in the title game. CC will play #5 UNH and #4
Maine on Jan. 2 and 3.

In a shocker, #10 St. Lawrence was downed 7-0 by the Niagara Purple
Eagles Sunday. Niagara, who earlier in the year beat Michigan at Yost
Arena, is now 7-4-2.

Boston University has now won 6 straight games to move back to .500
overall with a 2-1 win over Ohio State. In an intriguing matchup, the
Terriers will take on #8 Princeton, who beat host Minnesota 4-1, in the
Mariucci Classic Championship game. BU earned its first win earlier
this season with a 9-1 win over Princeton, one of only two losses for
the Tigers all season.

Other scores:
Vermont 3, MSU-Mankato 0
Yale 4, Wisconsin 2
Dartmouth 8, Air Force 1
Bowling Green 3, Cornell 2 (OT)
Colgate 7, Miami 2
Denver 4, Lake Superior State 0
Northern Michigan 8, Michigan Tech 1
