Here are the Hockey East Quarterfinal Matchups:

#6 Maine at #3 New Hampshire (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
#8 Merrimack at #1 Boston University
#7 Providence at #2 Boston College
#5 Lowell at #4 Northeastern

All games are best two-of-three series.

Maine received the #6 seed by virtue of its 5-5 tie with UMass
Saturday night. Maine needed Lowell to lose to UNH to pull into a
tie, which Maine would have won. Lowell stunned UNH 3-0, first
shutout of a UNH team since 1993 according to Fox New England.

UMass (and Tim Lovell) were eliminated from playoff contention. They
needed a win and a Merrimack loss Sunday.

Was anyone at the UMass/Maine game that could post some thoughts?
From the updates on television it seemed it was a tight close game
throughout.
