It is my understanding that the first four seeds are placed in order of
"ranking". So Colorado College would be placed closest to home first, then
Cornell, then UNH (with BU already having Worcester).
So, I think it is very possible that UNH could get sent out west as a #1
seed with Cornell being in Providence, unless Ann Arbor is closer to Cornell
than Providence is.
The BU/UNH game tonight is very interesting for this reason. The loser of
this game may no longer be a #1 seed, which is why I'll be rooting for BU
tonight because I do believe that BU as a #1 seed does allow Maine a better
chance at one of the Eastern regionals, because as Spiros says, if BU is a
#2 seed, so is Maine, so that only leaves Providence as an option out East.
