The more restrained HOCKEY-L list has an ongoing thread as to which team
the list members
will support at the various Providence games.
The thread has revealed that few on the list in attendance will be Maine
supporters.
Not only that, but the Ambroses have revived their bashing of Coach Walsh
and our team.
(If you're lurking on our list, Greggie, I'm thinking of FAXing your post
to our team at their hotel, just to fire them up...)
My two cents: By the fourth OT I was pulling for BU at Albany. That way,
we would have dumped the second game tickets out front at Providence for
not less than $ 200 each to some NY refugee BU supporter or some red-faced
whale-pants wearing BC alumni. Then Lindsay and I would have retired to
Federal Hill for fine dining and a decent bottle of bubbly, laughing that
once again, the two Comm. Ave. teams would knock each other senseless, just
to set themselves up for another vicious beating by our beloved Black
Bears.
And don't get me going about the Michigan fan at Albany who disparaged
Coach and REALLY put
me into high gear; but I never use profanity, unlike certain Wolverine fans
did that night.
So, those of us fortunate enough to have secured the coveted ducats must scream
even more loudly than the Maine supporters at the FleeCenter and at Albany....
GO BLUE !!!!! (and we don't have to change what we yell)
I'm working on new signature lines to snipe at New Hampshire fans should we
repeat....
BTW, anyone like my idea of getting blue T-Shirts made up showing a lobster
with its fists
up, and the phrase "Wicked Good Maine Fan" printed on it ?
You think I'm getting into this......?

Maine - National Champions 1993 and 1999 -
first in the new Millennium ?
Bill Gates should be sentenced to using a Macintosh
for the rest of his natural life.
