Based on my experience, I think....
 
As long as you have the above...
 
AND the right software
AND the right operating system (Mac users know about this one)
AND the right browser
AND the program originator has a server that doesn't get bombed with lots
of listeners
AND the program originator tells you what streaming software you should be
using
AND you can put up with annoying audio lead-ins and splash screens (Real Audio)
AND your ISP has a good, reliable, pipeline to the Internet.
