> Maine got killed by turnovers and unforced errors. UNH buried their
chances.

No question about that...Howard played admirably, as usual.

The game's biggest disappointment...the defensive pairing of Francis Nault
and Troy Barnes. Both ended up at -4 as they were on the ice for all four
UNH goals. Although Nault is an excellent puck handler, tonight was not his
night...or the last few games for that matter. He's had several costly
turnovers, and against HE opponents especially, you just can't have that.
These teams are going to capitalize just like UNH did tonight. As for
Barnes, he just didn't look as sharp out there as he has all season.
Hopefully, these guys just had an off night and can really pick it up for
tonight's match-up!

A real bright spot...freshman D-man Steve Mullin. In just his second game
since late October/early November, he's playing pretty well. Last night, he
played solid defense with a couple key blocks/play break-ups and he even
contributed offensively with a couple good scoring chances. His first game
back (Saturday against UML) was a similarly pleasing performance. Keep up
the good work!

A side note/question...I noticed in the recap that Dustin Penner was listed
(in the team summary but not the lineups) for Maine. I was under the
impression that he was going to be a red-shirt this season...anybody know if
he was really there?

Any thoughts on tonight?
